While I know that there are some who disdain young adult novels as something that adults shouldn’t read, I firmly disagree with that idea. Personally, I’ve found that YA titles can often be the ones that push boundaries, explore sensitive topics, and offer nuggets of wisdom that you won’t find in “grown-up” books. Eliza and Her Monsters is one of the best teen books that I’ve read, with a lot to say about our current culture and its effects on people.
